Recycling Marine Batteries at Autozone

One way to be green and recycle is to bring your used marine batteries to Auto Zone for them to dispose of. There are actually some instructions to do this, but it is definitely worth it and you can help make the world a better place by recycling.

First, you need to, of course, locate your nearest Auto Zone store. Once you're aware of where it is, you need to remove your battery from your boat and wrap it in a towel or a tarp and put it in the trunk of your vehicle. Once you get to Auto Zone, tell them that you want to recycle it. There is no fee for this service and the employee will either just take it from you or direct you to a where you can place it on a battery recycling cart. Then you can just leave the store, knowing that your battery will be recycled properly.

One thing you want to be sure of is that your local Auto Zone will be able to accept your battery before driving there to drop it off, so call them first to double check. Also, do not touch any fluids or corrosion that come from the battery because they can be harmful.

Think smart, and think green. Recycle your marine battery at Auto Zone and help keep the world in good shape for generations to come.
